I am glad that you like the background! It's a field of dahlias, about an acre in size. I stumbled across it riding my bicycle around my neighbourhood a few months ago. Absolutely brilliant!

There's that lovely feeling again when I open your forum Margaret. So glad you had your camera with you on your bike ride... Do you cycle much? Remember when I was young & learning to cycle & keep falling off...after numerous falls & bleeding knees my mother was getting rather exasperated as my knees looked so dreadfully red & raw in my tutu. It befell my father to run alongside until I got the hang of it ...fortunately he was quite fit & rather a darling.
Sorry at this stage can't help you with your brickwall. When does the 1891 census come out. Bye for now, Di

Do I cycle much? Oh yes! meandmybicycles.proboards50.com/James is keeping me quite busy! Oddly enough, I don't remember learning how to ride a bicycle. I must not have fallen off very often. I do believe that I first rode a bicycle at around age 10 or 11, and I haven't the foggiest what kind it was, or what happened to it . About ten years ago I started riding again, and really enjoy the cycling--so much so, that I have 12 bicycles now . Yes, I do ride all of them ;D . Margaret

Hi Margaret, Have just been looking on your other forum...........super looking bicycles....you must be very fit & can see how much you enjoy your cycling by having 12 bicycles. Wow!! You must have been a natural from the start!!
Thanks for your posting..much appreciated.
Hope I can add one for you sooner than later. Have you ancestors who came to NZ you'd like to find . Have Electoral Roll 1881 & 1893 cd's & marriages 1836-1956cd.
Bye for now, Di

I do have some rellies in NZ, but they actually found me through the UKGen site! They are the only ones to the best of my knowledge.
But you never know! I would not be surprised to find more popping up around the world.
As for the bicycles, I don't know about being a natural, but riding a bike is certainly good at keeping down the stress level, and it helps get me out and about to enjoy looking at birds and animals. By the way, all but one of my bikes are vintage bikes, and consequently I have not spent much money on them. All told, less than $1000 USD (except for my one modern bike).

Morning here, Margaret,,, Having a looksee around your forum...looking great. Found the Lancashire census most informative especially as I have my John Tattersall who was meant to have married & had a couple of children before he was transported as a convict to VDL to find plus his parents & siblings. Thank you, Di

Have you found your John TATTERSALL in the 1841 census? Or was he not born yet?
